Reunert's CBI-electric acquires ITmatic

Reunert company, CBI-electric low voltage, has agreed to acquire ITmatic, a leading process control and automation systems integrator headquartered in Centurion, South Africa for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is set to accelerate growth in Africa, Middle East and Madagascar.

ITmatic is a leading provider of solutions to the mining, metals, minerals, cement, and food and beverage industries. Within these industries it has completed 1 500 projects. The acquisition accelerates growth of CBIs Industrial Control and Automation business and adds an important international component.

“Strategically, this acquisition adds critical mass to our engineering and project management capability,” said Chris Oliver, managing director of CBI-electric low voltage. “ITmatic's domain expertise will add significantly to our knowledge base which will be leveraged across all businesses in the CBI-electric portfolio.”

The acquisition is effective 1 July 2011.

ITmatic customers will continue to receive the high level of service they currently enjoy and gain more direct access to the complete portfolio of CBI-electric products and services. They will further benefit from the stability of being associated with CBI-electric low voltage.

CBIs customers will benefit from the expanded portfolio of application solutions, industry expertise, project management and engineering talent.
